Ethical paper flower wedding bouquet

Paper flowers borrowed from nature

Ethical wedding bouquets and arrangements created with delicate paper flowers and dried foliage

At Cooper Floral Design, I create beautiful eco-friendly paper flowers. I borrow materials from nature to make them fully biodegradable. No wires, plastics or synthetic glues are ever used.

From my home in rural Somerset, I collect plant materials to make the natural dyes. I use these to colour the tissue paper. The petals are all hand cut and crafted to make realistic flowers. I also forage and grow foliage and flowers for drying. Combining both, I create beautiful wedding bouquets, buttonholes and arrangements. My exclusive range of flowers are long lasting, but are home compostable when they reach the end of their lives.

All my bouquets are bespoke and made to order just for you. So please browse my website to discover how I can help your ethical wedding dreams come true. There are images of bouquets to inspire you and details of how I make my flowers and dyes.

Cooper Floral Design prides itself on being fully inclusive and LGBT+ friendly. Please contact me with your enquiries. I accept orders for local delivery in Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Bristol and Bath or postal deliveries within the UK mainland.

Creating paper flowers

How I create eco-friendly tissue paper flowers

All my flowers are created from tissue paper which is coloured with my plant dyes. These dyes are made from local foraged plant materials. The flowers are hand cut and made using only biodegradable materials.

Mixed dried flower and grasses

Locally sourced dried flowers and grasses

Bouquets and arrangements can also contain dried flowers and foliage, which adds lovely texture and movement. I forage or grow most of the flowers and grasses, then carefully dry them to keep their shape and colour.

Why my tissue paper flowers are ideal for your ethical wedding –

•  They will last many years, making a lovely memento of your special day.

•  Unlike other artificial flowers they are made entirely from natural sustainable materials.

•  At the end of their life they can be placed in your compost bin, not sent to landfill.

•  Available all year, unlike fresh flowers which are imported to the UK during the winter.

•  Hand crafted in Somerset and available by post throughout mainland Britain.

Sustainable and eco-friendly

From plant to dye, from paper flower to compost

All the materials I use to make my flowers are eco-friendly. The dyes are made from plants, the paper acid-free and the glue is just flour and water. The dried flowers and foliage is mostly foraged locally or I grow them myself. I also try to be as sustainable in the rest of my business and home life . . . read more to discover all about my ethical business
